VALOR showcased at Entomology 2025, the Entomological Society of America’s annual meeting
Between 9 and 12 November 2025, VALOR partner Pensoft Publishers took part in the Entomological Society of America’s (ESA) annual meeting, Entomology 2025, held in Portland, Oregon, USA. Pensoft joined the conference exhibition, where it presented the VALOR project alongside AGRI4POL, highlighting the two projects’ shared focus on pollinators.
At the Pensoft booth, visitors were introduced to VALOR through project materials, QR links to online communication tools, and professional scientific illustrations. The display attracted strong interest and encouraged many attendees to engage in discussions and stay connected with the latest project developments.
The ESA meeting welcomed more than 3,200 participants, offering a valuable opportunity to reach audiences beyond Europe who are actively engaged in insect science and pollinator research. Many attendees were keen to learn more about EU-level initiatives focused on understanding and protecting pollinators and the vital roles they play in society, the economy and beyond.
Overall, Entomology 2025 provided an important platform for increasing VALOR’s international visibility, enabling the project to connect with a global community of researchers and practitioners and to support the wider dissemination of its work beyond Europe.
